A1: Contribution Agreements – Citizenship and Immigration Canada

This session will be of interest to organizations that currently have a contribution agreement with Citizenship and Immigration Canada and will cover topics related to the management of CIC’s contribution agreements.

John Lu has spent all his public services career with the Department of Citizenship and Immigration Canada and majority of his time involves in the Settlement Directorate. Currently, John is the Director of Regional Settlement Operations, responsible for the implementation of the settlement policies in Ontario.John is a graduate of McMaster University in Hamilton with a bachelor degree in Ceramic Engineering. He is familiar with the immigrant experience having moved to Canada when he was 13 years old.

Enzo Capparelli has been with Citizenship and Immigration Canada since April 1998 and currently holds the position of Chief, Financial Review and Contribution Monitoring.  This position has responsibility for the performance of internal reviews of CIC operations and assisting Settlement Officers with the conduct of financial monitors.Enzo graduated from University of Toronto Mississauga in 1982 with a degree in Commerce (Accounting and Economics) and obtained his CGA designation in March 1994.  He has been in the federal service for 27 years and served in increasingly senior positions at Veterans Affairs Canada, Canada Employment and Immigration Commission, Human Resources Development Canada and Public Works Government Services Canada.Enzo is a long-time resident of Toronto.  He is an active volunteer in his children’s sporting activities.

The 2012 Executive Directors Forum will take place on October 22-23, 2012 at The Westin Prince Hotel in Toronto.  The registration will be opened by the end of August.
